The Richmond Annex Neighborhood Council (RANC) is a non-partisan, wholly volunteer group dating from the postwar 1940s. Founded under its present name in 1974, the RANC represents a long-proven example of what the Neighborhood Council is intended and best able to accomplish. We are a founding member of the Richmond Neighborhood Coordinating Council (RNCC), an umbrella group of all neighborhood councils throughout Richmond, under the wing of the City. Your membership is encouraged. Our Council depends upon its members to participate, help their neighbors, and community as a whole.
Our aim at the council is to improve the lives of residents of Richmond Annex, which we do by things like:
- Organizing community events
- Helping to distribute useful local information
- Campaigning to to the city about issues that affect us
- Helping to train and organize for emergency response
The council is entirely volunteer-run, please get involved!
